Greetings,
I have a 98 S70 with 104,000 miles. The AC was recharged in May. In late July, it died on me and did not work. I took it to my independent repairman, and he recharged it yet again. Now, just three days later, the AC's coldness has dropped considerably. The repairman said I have an o-ring problem, but I can't buy individual o-rings--only a brand new $800 compressor.
Can I get an individual o-ring and replace it myself? If so, would I have to have it recharged yet again?
Can I Buy Individual O-rings for AC repair? Topic is solved

The problem is most likely a leaky evaporator, which will need to be replaced. The cost of the part is about $300. It is an extremely involved process. If the problem should be found to be linked to the o-rings, you can buy an A/C o-ring kit here for $17.50.
