850 T5 Estate - Power Lapse @ High Speed

Hi Matthew,

Just bought myself a second hand Volvo 850 T5 Estate in Thailand. Done 91 K. Doing great except that driving at higher speed.

When I kick down at speeds between approx. 120-150 Km/Hr, it shuts the power in jerks. Powerful 2 seconds, a total loss of power for 1 second and continous on an on.

I've repaired many older cars 10 years ago, but this one is new to me.

Any ideas?

I thought this is normal?

but if I remember correctly it is NOT 2 seconds, it should be much longer than that.

If I remember correctly the power boosts lasts 15 seconds but this should not be noticeable. Perhaps your car is in a very good condition and hence the thrust is very noticeable?
