Can anyone please tell me the correct way to remove the heat shield above the turbo on a 1997 S70 T5 as I want to remove the downpipe from the turbo to fit a new performance cat etc ?
There is a big black drum 6 to 8 inches above this working area fixed to the baulk head and I am not sure what that does and if that needs to be removed before I can get the heat shield off ?
Regards.

I removed the hs on my 850 a couple years ago, and I remember it being only 4 or so bolts of about 16-18mm. Nothing tricky. 850 should be the same as S70.
