stalling

Post by nr123 »

I have the same problem with my 1999 S70 Volvo; it has happened 4 times in the past 5 months and it is scary in the middle of rush hour traffic; the car dealer has checked it 4 times and he does not come up with anything; I plan to take it to an independent mechanic to check the fuel filter;

There's really no way to check the fuel filter, btw. You could cut it open, and this would check it. My point: if your indy mech. is telling you he should check the filter, that doesn't make sense. Just have him replace it and you can rule that out as the problem if stalling continues. They're only $25 or so. I did mine 2.5 years ago... easy job. Search this forum for a how-to on that someone wrote just 6 weeks ago or so, plus probably 10 or more threads on 70 series stalling problems.
