a/c funky odour - how to eliminate? Topic is solved

hi there,

any ideas how to get rid of a smelly a/c air? should i buy a herbicide or a chemical of some sort? i will try replacing the particle filter next...

I had a lil bit of a stale smell in my S70 - I started by changing the cabin air filter - It is very straightforward - link below has instructions.

Ordered the filter from FCPGroton.

Before putting the new filter in, I ran the A/C at full blast and sprayed some Lysol spray that is designed to kill mold into the rectangular opening where the filter goes. Local grocery store should stock the Lysol spray. Cycled the A/C blower through all vents and that helped clear the system.

An open box of baking soda in the interior can help too - old refigerator trick !
