This worked a treat so far. I bought another dorman 5/16 press fit and ford 5/16 line and might do the other side of filter (filter to engine) or maybe just keep as a backup....

I ended up adding a zip tie to ensure this fitting stayed on, and thus adding a 6 month inspection protocol and a spare zip tie to the road kit for this car.

The difference in these two fuel filter snouts is important. The Dorman part will lock onto the flange on the top one but not on the bottom one which is OE

Ok...so my vehicle had the same issue. The clip died, gas spewed out of the pipe (as it wouldn't lock on anymore) and I was getting so annoyed as you cannot buy replacement clips from volvo...but have to buy the entire poxy pipe that is a ballache to put in. So I went online (temu) and they actually sell the clip (in the housing). You squeeze and pull it out (just like you do the fudged one), thread it through and hey presto....works a treat. I spent $3 on something which saved me spending $70. :D
