How to remove V70 cup holder

How do you remove the cup holder on a V70 from the dash to repair (or replace) it? Mine won't stay closed.

I'm having the same problem. I'd like to see if I can fix the existing cup holder before I replace it with a new one. Does anyone know how to remove the instrument panel cup holder?

Hi, to remove it you have to work from the bottom

Pull off the pen holder strip, this will reveal to torx20 screws to the climate panel, undo these and pull it out, DO NOT REMOVE THE WIRES else you'll get an SRS warning message!
this will reveal another 2 torx screws, undo these, pull radio/holder down and out
