O2 sensor connection '98 V70 T5

Greetings everyone!
I am trying to find the plug-in connection for the front O2 sensor. I don't see it from above and am hesitant to remove the turbocharger hose as it is held on with an oettieger (sp?) clamp. I've watched Robert's video on removing the sensor, but it doesn't really show the location of the plug connection. Same with the FCP video. Is the location of the plug visible from underneath the motor? OR do I really have to climb onto the motor to remove the turbo hose? Appreciate your help on this!

IIRC from my 1997 850 T-5, I went at it from the top. I can't remember where it is, but it was a class A PITA.

The connectors fit into a clamp on top the transmission. I think the snorkel has to come off to access

Greetings!
I hope this finds you all well and in good health!
I managed to pry loose the snorkel that connects to the air filter housing and the turbo. I can see the connector/plug-in for the oxygen sensors. My question is this: At the bottom of the snorkel where it connects to the turbo, there are three hoses and an electrical plug, grouped together onto a rubber bushing (for the lack of a better term) that is seated into the snorkel...how does this rubber bushing get removed - can I pull it out, twist it out, or is it part of the snorkel that cannot be removed? It seems to move when I attempt to move the bushing, but not sure if it will break/crack when I pull on it! Am trying to create a bit more space to actually reach the plug-in for the O2 sensors!

It does pry out but leave it in, and disconnect the electrical connector ( depress metal bail, pull off) and the three hoses.

Get the snorkel out of the way to get to the OXS connectors.

I managed to move a few hoses out of the way to be able to see the connection/plug-in for the O2 sensors. The electrical connection was covered with grease grime (ugh) as were the bottom of the hoses - what a dirty mess!
Now to remove the O2 sensor from the exhaust pipe!
Any recommendations on O2 removal tools I should consider?

Lots of heat and the impact steel 22 mm socket from lisle I think.

I have come across an O2 removal tool made by Lisle (on the Rock Auto website), is that what you are referring to? I have a 22mm deep impact socket but it is not long enough to reach the bottom of the sensor where a wrench/socket would be placed to break the sensor loose. The top of the sensor, where the wires go into it, is too large in diameter to fit into the round hole at the top of the socket!
I've read the reviews of a few of the tools available for purchase online. The less expensive ones don't hold up very well and end up being returned. But the removal tools that have substance, durability, and last beyond one use, are a bit pricey for a tool that I'm only going to use once every 4-5 years (provided I still have the car!!).
Advance auto has a kit that one can rent, use the tool(s), and have the rental fee reimbursed upon return. Just hope nothing happens to the socket/removal tool when using it!
I have used heat and PB blaster without success. My little propane torch is likely not heating up the metal enough and there is not enough space to heat up the bung all the way around. I can get to one side then have to shut off the torch, crawl around to the side or front of the car to reach the other side of the bung. It's not pretty nor is it efficient! I'll let you know how I do with the rental tool kit.
I was certainly not expecting this project to be so difficult and will likely be the harbinger of final repairs I do to the car given my weakened fingers and declining muscle strength - ahh the problems with getting older - but I might consider renewing the separator/hoses from the front of the motor to the top of it. At least with that I don't have to contort my body to reach a bolt or nut!

Start heating it and cooling it every day for a couple of days to break up the rust in the sensor threads. Robert spinner might be driving by in a few days/weeks and I’m sure he has the right stuff

Are you in the Great North or down in SYR for this project ?
