Whole car looks like new! Were you able to find the R specific rear calipers? They went NLA 10+ years ago!
Great work and must be getting close to what I have spent on my R over the last 13+ years while managing a whole 15k miles!

Thank you for the kind words.
I was not able to find rear calipers, I have a parts car that I am going to rebuild the calipers from when I get it disassembled , hopefully these last until then.
I have spent an embarrassing amount of money on this thing to this point and am not done yet. Working on this thing has been a therapeutic change of pace for me and been quite fun actually, well worth the price of admission. The funny thing is I have never even driven one to know if I will even like it, it's just been my little stress reliever.

Mine came with a Rica tune supposedly raising the engine output to 312 bhp and around 300 ft/lb of torque. It used to fly until the Volvo dealer wiped the software doing a software upload to the ETM without talking to me first. Mainly as my car has a Xemodex ETM for which the software update was not relevant for! Anyway, it really pulls hard and the engine screams. It will become addictive.

Well ran into my first snag today. The OZ Wheels rub the subframe in the rear of the car. I am going to need spacers to clear . Not a huge deal but was looking forward to seeing it clean for the first time with the new wheels flat on the ground out of the garage.
Got the rear end portion cleaned up and brakes on, new rear shocks, arms, etc. Clamped down the IDP exhaust (going to need to adjust it some as I am getting rattles) and pulled it out for its first wash in over 13 years lol. It got most of the gunk off of it but it is going to need a serious washing to get down to what is actually left to work with.
I pulled it back on the lift so I can adjust the exhaust and do some minor things before putting the Judge back in its rightful spot.
Here is the rear before cleanup;

and after. I didn't spend as much time back here but wanted to get it somewhat cleaned up

New V old shocks for the rear, I feel blessed to have found a set. The old ones surprisingly still seem good but I was afraid they would fail shortly after hitting the road again

First real wash in over 13 years. Sure looks better when it is wet

Next up is to repaint this front bumper. I know the rest of the car needs paint as well but this was the worst of it and would like it to be a better match to the rest of the car. It needs some help with repairs first then paint

Really happy with how this thing sounds. Ran it for about 45 minutes todaywithout any leaks or drama. I hope it stays that way. The injectors sure like to sing on these things

Okay, she is back on 4 wheels for now, ready for me to tackle interior and see how much I can save on the original paint, not holding out much hope with all the clear coat peel it has.
Issue I ran into , the rear brakes are dragging on this thing. Verified it is the calipers and not parking brake. Im almost thinking the new rotors are too thick for the car. The old rotors are pretty work so they are not a good measurement indicator for me. I may wind up having to throw them back on though as it is a pretty noticeable drag.
Either way, off the lift for now and getting pretty stoked to see light at the end of the tunnel

As Abscate says, so jealous of the condition of the rear subframe.
I'm curious you mention an IPD exhaust system. Did you get this recently as I do not see them listing one for the 00 R model?
Neil.
