Anyone have any experience finding and replacing transmission cooler lines for 98 v70, automatic transmission? Pics/videos and parts sources very much appreciated .

Aftermarket parts only available now, I think.

Another option to consider it having the existing lines rebuilt with new hose or DIY rebuild. I haven't done this but have read here that others have had this done with good results, for example: viewtopic.php?t=77816

98 should have the reusable metal retaining clips. Had a 98 S70 T5 and did a full transmission fluid exchange. Could potentially cut the hose off with the new hose using regular hose clamp on the OE fitting into the radiator?

Honest and highly skilled. See how they would handle it.

The lower hose is still available from Volvo, expensive, but available. Part number 3507931. The upper hose, you have to take the metal parts from the old one (or a junkyard part) and put on a new rubber hose. I believe there is no aftermarket option! That ProParts kit appears to be for the engine oil cooler, not the transmission cooler.

Don’t forget to use double oetikers on those lines, so the cool kids will come to your party….

-1998nthr lines use those metal clips that you have to massage back into shape ( and zip tie for safety)

1999- on use the squeeze plastic clips that are easier

New orings for all years please.
