This is not a sale but a warning. Tariffs threaten to increase prices on goods by double digit percentages. Consider buying parts now before prices rise. I'm already seeing FCP prices up 5-10% since my last orders in 12/2023 and 3/2024.

In 2022, I watched inflation drive up the price of parts at FCP multiple times during that year. Ultimately, I bought parts that I wouldn't need any time soon in order to lock in their price before it went any higher. That benefited me for some items, especially Volvo branded ones which increased significantly in price.

This is not a sale, but buying now may effectively be a discount compared to paying higher prices later.

FCP has been offering a sale for Memorial Day, ending today 5/27/25. Sorry I didn't post about this sooner. It's not a flat or tiered discount like others, but they've discounted many parts large and small. I'm seeing 8-10% off $200+ kits which I need, so I expect there's 5-10% off most things.

It's true that Independence Day may be a better sale, second only to Cyber Monday. Remember that tariffs threaten higher prices and inventory drying up without being reordered. I'm surprised that FCP is having a sale at all. Consider a hedge, buying some parts now, and maybe saving some (perhaps larger) for the early July sale. But really, what's the difference in savings compared to the risk of part unavailability or no sale?

Good news, Federal court just took the decision making for tariff's away from him as per LAW.

Update: They are reinstated while the appeals court reviews. =(

Thanks. Unpredictable, as always. Seems smart to buy what you need sooner than later.

Reminder: Independence Day (7/4/25) sales are the 2nd best all year and coming up soon. Both at FCP and usparts.volvocars.com. Get your shopping lists ready. I will be buying a lot for two cars (since I skipped Memorial Day due to lack of time).

Independence Day sales are coming. Get your shopping lists ready and hold off on buying until this weekend. Both FCP and usparts.volvocars.com should have their second best sales of the year (after Cyber Monday).

FCP has started their Independence Day sale. Up to 20% off on parts from 7/2/25 to 7/8/25. This is typically the second best sale of the year after Cyber Monday. Stock up, but do compare to usparts.volvocars.com which is offering 10-15% off depending on how much you spend. It's often cheaper to buy original equipment that's not Volvo branded from FCP. But if the Volvo part is on sale and FCP isn't, you may do better at usparts.

IPD USA Black Friday sale has started. Had a quick look. No real deals seen so far. Maybe 5-10% on everything. Not really enough to warrant me doing an order.

I placed an order with FCP. A few of my items were now on sale that were not a couple weeks ago. A cam lock tool was reduced in price about 8% but not listed as on sale. AND life time replacement deal with free shipping.
I decided to get a replacement right rear light assembly for my 1983 245. Mine is broken and I don't think it can be repaired.
