I keep on meaning to start this thread.

Let’s make an entry with each volvo part number in title for search

Three stages of obsolescence proposed for p80s

Stage 1 - no longer available from Volvo, but good aftermarket available

Example Volvo ac compressors. Nissens aftermarket

Stage 2 - no longer available from Volvo , sketchy aftermarket, junkyard used parts available

Stage 3 - hard to find. No Volvo, aftermarket , junkyard rare or overpriced

Example. HVAC manual climate control head unit

Clutch hose from clutch master cylinder to release bearing NLA from Volvo, no aftermarket.

I would save the end fittings on an old line as this is a critical replacement part.

Skandix shows three pieces in stock today, might be last ones

1998-2000 V70 S70 MCC control unit is NLA. People jack the price of these on eBay. Try to avoid encouraging this.

If your cable head is broken you can disconnect the cables and operate manually under the dash until you find one.

On a whim I searched Amazon for Volvo parts. I found a mix of name brand parts of all types and a lot of off brand parts. Although quality may be suspect, some of the NLA parts may be available form China sources. I have found many serviceable parts for small engines available from China.
Desperate times call for desperate measures.

That is the part specifies that it is for STC (stability traction control) vehicles. There is also the TRACS vehicles and those that have neither STC or TRACS. Does anyone know if they all use the same component, or are they different?
