@scot850 mention of another Windsorite ? I would happy to oblige if he ever requires assistance or referral to good local connections. Born and raised here.

Much of my time during the job is spent hauling things up and down the stairs to the basement or in and out of the storage shed, or running back downstairs when I realize I need something else,or taking a break from standing out in the sun,or using flashlights or work lamps when it gets dark.

Wow, I've hauled virtually nothing in my sedan. I think I stuffed a truck tire in the trunk once.... don't recall if that was the 850 or S70. I contemplated hauling a set of 4, but didn't want to risk getting the interior dirty.

So far it's either when I recently had a set of 4 wheels and 2 extra tires in the back when I was getting new winter tires installed or when I drove 3 coworkers home with all of their travel luggage stuffed into the back. That experience showed me just how blown out the old suspension was, the car rolled and floated around like a boat under all that weight!

The mention of a washer and dryer reminded me: A full-size refrigerator (18 cu ft with top freezer). I slid it in on its side, compressor side down, and put it back upright for 24 hours before plugging it in. Also a standup arcade machine; numerous 4-drawer filing cabinets (one at a time); and a few dishwasher-sized computers on a pallet, loaded into the car with a forklift. But I'm surprised no one has talked about hauling "ASS"!

I hauled a dryer in the 2001 V70, but had to remove all the shipping box to get it to fit. I also hauled a refrigerator, but it was compact size.

No pics but I moved so much uncut/unsplit firewood this fall. Cut the oak and ash trunks to 48 inch sections, load five or six sections into the V70, low-ride it back home. It's tricky to load the heavy (especially the oak!) sections in and out of the back without damaging the plastic interior trim near the tailgate but I have a system down. The car has overload springs but they're old now, like 200k on them.

I do have a utility trailer for hauling firewood, but I am pretty certain that a full load would be too much for the V70. Plus, we live on a hill. But towing the splitter is no problem.
