Yeh. Scrap that. The mounts are shot when I compared to new ones online. Transmission mount is sinking in as well.
Another job to add to do never ending to do list.

Thankfully, mine just seemed to need to be cleaned to get it working more reliably. I didn't even change the battery, after checking that with a meter. I think the only time I've ever seen one of those coin lithium batteries leak was in an old computer, for the CMOS memory. I wonder if your battery was the original Volvo issued part.RedBrickCollector wrote: ↑26 Dec 2025, 11:54I'd love to know too. My fob has been eaten up by a battery leak and doesn't work even after cleaning and new battery.
I’ve programmed mine with the 850 android app, but that seems to be up to 98.454cid wrote: ↑25 Dec 2025, 22:57That looks to be the whole thing, not just the case. It's also out of stock. For my 99, I was able to buy new cases, and swap over the original Volvo guts and essentially have new fobs. I've done the same with my Chevy truck.scot850 wrote: ↑25 Dec 2025, 16:28 Do you mean one like this?

Neil.
Is there a DIY procedure for programming, or does it need a dealer's computer?

Always a fun time laying across the engine.
1999 -on need VIDA AND a paid subscription amd connection to the Volvo server. A remote is programmed amd pinned to the VIN just like a chipped key.Chieber wrote: ↑26 Dec 2025, 16:07I’ve programmed mine with the 850 android app, but that seems to be up to 98.454cid wrote: ↑25 Dec 2025, 22:57That looks to be the whole thing, not just the case. I remember reading something on swedespeed that 99 onwards could be programmed in if you have vida.
