Hi,
I need to change the radiator on a 96 850 volvo. I searched this site but couldn't find any instructions on how to do it, or how hard it is. Is there another site out there that has a writeup?
By the way, I posted here before asking for help replacing the front struts. Thanks to the people that pointed me to that webpage showing step by step instructions. It took about 2-3 hours to replace, that website was a lifesaver.

The radiator is easier than the struts.
From memory:
Disconnect the battery negative side. You need to drain the radiator via the petcock near the bottom of the radiator. Disconnect the upper and lower hoses. Remove the trans cooler lines - it will drip fluid so have a pan under that side of the radiator. Disconnect the e-fan electrical connector. Remove the retaining bolts on the radiator. Lift out.
I may have missed something but the radiator should be fairly strait forward.
Good luck,
T
