When you put your key and ignite the engine it doesen't start immediately, but after a while. My VOLVO car dealer says that I should keep the ignition on with delay for 5-10 seconds and then turn the key and start the engine.
Actually this works and my dealer says that this is normal. But as far as I know no other VOLVO that I have driven have this problem.
It is very enoying to have to wait like it was a diesel engine just to start the engine.
I have thought about the cause of the problem and I think that the fuel pressure isn't enough and when I have the ignition for some extra seconds the fuel pump pumps up the pressure. Could it be a check valve or something that is leaking , or is it a electrical problem with somekind of sensor that is palying a trick on me. Is there anyone that have experinece about this, if so I would be very happy to hear the solution. BR/ Jan
