Post by Guest »

Hi i'm new here and would like some advise about my project.
I just bought a 1995 850 turbo 300000km.
1- First of all i need to replace a missing bushing on my rear suspension. How much you thing the bushing cost?
2- I need to change a light in my fog light where should I look for a new one Volvo dealer?
3- I will need a complete rebuild kit gasket kit any recomandation?
4- I would like to replace the stock turbo, what do you think I should I go for a 16g or a t3?
5- What about the stock transmission (manual) do you think it will support 350horsepower at the crank??
Thanks for your help

4. Most people that do upgraded turbos on these cars go for 16T, 18T, or 19T turbos. Keep in mind that your ECU will need to be remapped to take advantage of a new turbo.

5. The M56 transmission you're talking about can handle in excess of 500 whp, but you will need an upgraded clutch to handle higher power levels. If you plan on running much more than 300 whp, the weak point on these engines is the connecting rods. If you're planning on making big power, I would recommend replacing the rods while you have the engine apart.

As far as the gasket set goes, there is a guy over on Volvospeed that just did most all of his gaskets. http://volvospeed.com/vs_forum/index.ph ... opic=15986 You may want to ask him for details on that.
