In Sept. my Volvo wagon alternator went out and I had to have it replaced at a regular garage because I was on a road trip. It ruined the battery and burned out the headlight bulbs. Everything now works fine, except the electric drivers seat. None of the controls work. The passenger seat works fine. I live nowhere near a dealer.
The fuses are fine. Is there a reset switch somewhere or ???
This is an awesome site. Thank you!

Since no one has tackled this one, I'll give it a shot. Probably proving once again that I know as little as anyone but am willing to say so.
The power seat fuse is a circuit breaker type that resets itself after about 20 sec. (so if you get something caught under the seat it kicks before the motors burn up). You said the fuse is good, but could it be reseting after each time you try the seat controls?
Try replacing it with a regular 20 amp fuse. If the fuse blows immediately, the next step might be to remove the switch assembly. Look for any signs of overheating. If the fuse stays intact, but blows when you start moving the seat controls, that might further help you narrow down the problem.
Good luck. Electrical problems can be a bear for us DIY guys.
