Need to change the rear pads and rotors and was wondering if all the rotors are pretty much the same for regular driving. I have a 1996 850 GLT sedan (non-turbo) and don't drive it hard. Was told to use MetalMasters due to the OE pad dust problems and then read that the Meteal masters must be warmed up to work good. Also read that the PBR/Axxis deluxe pads are better. Any Opinions?
Has anyone heard about Gren brake rotors? They are available at my local auto parts store and are very reasonable in price, but was wondering on their quality. Is a rotor just a rotor? I was going to go with Zimmerman or Brembo, but they are a much more than Gren rotors.
Please keep in mind that the car is not driven hard, but sure I want to be safe and require a dependable braking system.

A rotor can be made for various hardness of pads. Used a pad designed for the rotor you are getting. I prefer the ceramic pads by NAPA. No dust and better than stock performance. The rear pads come with a shim set that works better on my 96 than the stock shims. I have Brembo rotors with NAPA Ceramic on the front and they have lasted two to three times the OEM pad life. The OEM pads only lasting 2 years make the quality aftermarket parts very appealing.
