2000 S70 Water from sunroof drains (sigh) or other?

Post by deadmerelda »

Greetings folks. I've been chasing what appears to be a sunroof drain issue on the 2000 S70. I figured the most excellent writeup with pics on the other model would be on target so I pulled the A pillar cover and found no drain lines. I'm left to assume they're inside the pillar? I think I found that they exit under the cowl under the hood but am not certain. What I'm wondering is can someone diagram where the drains run exactly, and is there a coupler (turn) that could have come loose?

Of course if there is another known culprit any suggestions are welcomed.

I'm also curious as to the nature of smaller lines that run at an angle away from the sunroof tracks if anyone cares to enlighten me?

TIA

Yes, they are in the metal part of the pillar. You will have to blow them out from above with the sunroof open or take the head liner down to get to them.
