Water drain plug locations? 1999 C70 convertible
I am having a terrible time finding any info on the locations of the water drain plugs that are in the roof storage bay. My top is broken and will not go down. Is there any way I can access and clean the water drains? If so, how? Thanks for any help guys. You guys have never steered me wrong!

Posting a response to the above (OLD POST) issue, for anyone with this same problem. I did the research on how to fix this water problem and just did this on my 2001. The convertible hatch has 4 hockey puck sized drain plugs. You access them by putting the top down only half way so as to stop with the hatch basin open. Do not let the hatch basin get filled by the folded top. With the hatch empty you will see the 2 black drains in the rear of the car, they are easy to work with. Use a thin flat head screw driver and lift the plastic drain cover (lots of holes in the cover) and that will reveal one drain hole. Use an air compressor to blow out the hole. There is one on each side at the rear convertible hatch.
The hard part is the 2 front hatch drains because both are under the convertible top gears / motor. You wont be able to remove the cover to blow it out. Instead remove the rear wheel and then remove the plastic wheel well. There are a few torx screws holding the plastic wheel well, plus a few 10 mm plastic nuts, and the well itself has a locking edge that holds it in place firmly. I found I had to "man handle" forcefully the wheel well pushing it up from the edge of the fender to un-hook the edge. Then forcefully work it out of the wheel well. Reverse procedure to install. From the open wheel well area the front drain hose can be seen sticking out about a half inch. Use an air compressor and blow the line open from below on both sides of the car. Then test the drains by pouring some water down the hatch drains. They should be open now. This worked great for me and I hope it helps someone else.
