Drove it! Recent purchase required some stuff (heater core, rear view mirror snapped off, blah blah), then I blew the cat off.
Removed, welded it back onto the turbo flange, lamented not having 3 elbows to disconnect/reconnect the plugins.
Visited a dear friend yesterday that had a 'Premium Sound System' head (with CASSETTE, yo!).
Surprised that the compressed used toilet paper speakers can actually sound pretty ok!

The paper speakers are actually pretty good, just replaced one on my car that was blown out after reading about how upgraded speakers really aren't an improvement on these cars with the SC-901 system. My cassettes and CDs sound fantastic on this system!

While waiting on my Coils to arrive I figured I would pull apart the coil wiring harness, glad I did had breaks and bare wire in 2 spots on wires going to the VVT plug. I ordered some OEM Volvo parts, i found some really good prices! I got the ECT, all 5 coils, Turbo control solenoid valve, spark plugs, MAP sensor and coil wiring harness.

Changed spark plugs in my S70. Think the plugs I had was wrong. Probably came from a turbo model that was recycled. This time I bought the four electrode style Bosch FGR7DQE0. Cheap plug but it's supposed to be oe.

FR7DPP+ is the correct plug for NAs, but those definitely look due for replacement! The ones you got are probably correct for that type of plug.

Replaced my heater core today.... Boy is it nice to not have it smell when the heat is turned on. Tried to soak up as much of the coolant from the mats and foam underneath as I could, hopefully any little left will dry out eventually. Was fairly easy only took about an hour total. Didn't even lose much coolant taking the old one out.
Replaced it with one of the swedish car parts ones from the ebay store for $37 shipped

It's actually just listed for GLTs and T5s at the parts suppliers I looked at. Worked fine on my NA anyway.
EDIT: Except for dirt bikes I've never ever noticed any difference in engine performance after changing plugs.

Yeah, same here. I always laugh at the reviews and whatnot for spark plugs saying how much better a car runs after replacing them. Unless they're REALLY bad, typically you won't notice a big difference.

I purchased an 03 Odyssey for my sister in law (now ours) when she went back to school for her PHD. It had 154K miles and I replace the plugs with some NGK Iridium. The van has around 230K now so it's been awhile but I distinctly remember the night and day difference. Everything was at Stage O except for the plugs. It was running fine but then the difference, so much so I recommend the plugs to 3 friends who also had Odysseys, all of whom I had helped with repairs.

Have a set of Volvo plugs from FCP that will soon go into the C30. Will see if there is a drastic difference.
