Do you have to remove the 2 bolts on the LH side of the suspension arm to remove the LH end of the anti-sway bar on a FWD P80? I was planning to remove this and have it powder coated along with the tow-bar and a spare IPD front anti-sway bar, but again am amazed at the dumb design which would appear to need the rear suspension alignment to potentially be altered accidently by having to remove the alignment bolts!
2nd question is, does anyone that has remove the rear anti-sway bar actually replace the mounting bolts and nuts for both that and the suspension arm if they have to be removed (i.e. are they torque to yield bolts)?
Many thanks,
Neil.

(0) I have only worked on 98 and earlier, but pretty sure they are the same.
(1) To remove (or install) the rear sway, you have to let the rear get pushed out of alignment. No way around it. You can score the positions and be careful about it and be ok, but there is a vulnerability.
(2) I only replace those rear bar mounting bolts if they look awful going in, or if I don't have them at the outset. But I almost never replace any bolts on the car, e.g. I have no issue re-using control arm bolts, strut mounting bolts, etc. Head bolts, I will swap.

Thanks Erik. Me-thinks I will not remove it to have it powder-coated. Car is already way over budget and a 4 wheel alignment is not going to help. It will get wire-brushed and POR-15 coating. That is probably equally as effective, but maybe not look quite so pretty!
Thanks for the help!

Bit the bullet and took the easy way out (although not so easy for a fat guy!!), and crawled under the car with wire brush on a drill, emery paper, metal scraper and cleaned the loose paint and rust off the anti-sway bar. It now has a first coat of POR-15 in gloss black and a 2nd coat later to complete it and hopefully keep rust at bay for another 16 years?!
Thanks again for help.
