Hello Everyone.
I'm about to finally get those IPD Anti Sway Bars installed on my car which I bought last November during the IPD Black Friday sale. When installing this kit do the subframes have to come off. And if they do don't you guys think its a good idea to just buy some New Subframes rather then putting back those 18 year old subframes from 1999. I'm planning on keeping the car for a long time. It only has 83K miles.
About to get the IPD Anti Sway bars on my 99 S70, Need advise on subframes.

If your car is FWD then you only have one sub-frame at the front.
You have to drop the rear of the sub-frame to install the front anti-sway bar. If you support the engine you could replace the sub-frame bushes possibly while in there.
At the rear there are 4 different mounts for the rear axles (2/axle) and you have to disturb the alignment mounts for the rear LHS of the car, so you could look at replacing the mounts.
However, I'd have them inspected and weigh up the cost of this as the parts are not cheap.
Neil.

Don't buy new subframes! There's nothing wrong with the ones that are on your car now. I don't think I've ever heard of a subframe failing unless it was physically hit with something else or it was on a BMW E46.
