CV boots - quality?

Just changed over to summer tires yesterday and noticed that one of the outer CV boots is slightly torn and throwing a bit of grease (not totally gone yet). Going over options on FCP and iPd - just wondering about the quality of Empi and Rein boots? Some guys are saying that they only got about 2 years out of the Empi ones - this suggests like their quality is crap - any personal experience??? TIA
current - 98 S70 T5 SE (255k km)
previous - 90 745T (400k km - sold); 94 855 T5 - (206k km - blown timing idler bearing)

Lobro are the OE which FCP sells. In fact I was surprised that on the axle I just pulled rom my V70, the Volvo label says Lobro on it.

Kit comes with grease, boot, boot clamps and retaining ring.

looks like the only Loebro they stock for my 98 S70 is the inner - I need the outer :( According to their site the GKN is OEM ... any thoughts?

Went 39,000 and 5 years on Empi before it tore. FCP offered to take back but return shipping cost more than part and I felt I got my $8.00 worth out of it. Replaced with Volvo brand.

Maybe I missed it somewhere, but what car do you have? Auto or manual , turbo or non-turbo.

Go GKN/Lobro only. Ditto on which axle do you have, but note you can get all sizes by GKN/Lobro at AutoHaus AZ if you can't find them anywhere at other places. Do some searches here at MVS, the relevant posts are within updated the last year

Rein: 2-3y/22K ---> cracks (see my threads in forum).

GKN Lobro boots last some 10y/90K-100K miles.
