The Zexel AC compressor also mounts differently than pictured. 4 Long M10 x 150? Bolts run front to back into four mounts on engine vs the transverse bolts pictured above

Two things happened in 1999 that complicate
1 alternator rotation direction is reversed
2 the pulley clutch was added, so that the alternator is only spun in one direction internally.
If you short belt, a 1999, you thus won’t get alternator charging.
