Windshield wiper rubber
I have the standard windshield wipers still on, I don't want to pay for the frameless. I've been getting replacement rubber for the Bosch frameless wipers on my Passat from ebay, but I can't find the rubber for the conventional wiper holder. I'd much rather pay $2 for rubber than $34 for the entire wiper.

Re: Windshield wiper rubber
Newer design looks better but wiping quality suffers...especially in the winter.
I have flat wipers on both of my cars...but in winter i switch to classic ones along with winter tyres and rubber floor mats.

Re: Windshield wiper rubber
I've been using Rain-X beam wipers, and I have not been impressed. They slap around too much instead of being more rigid, which in consequence throws water somewhere on the windshield instead of off. Maybe it's just because I'm using "cheap" wipers, but I'm not going to pay $50 for Bosch Icons.
Also, I don't think they look as good on P80 Volvos. The beam type seem to force the wiper arms to sit higher making them clearly visible while the wipers are down. And since they are not rigid like frame - type, they appear to sit even higher on the windshield after you turn the wipers off.
I think I'm going to go back to Bosch frame type wipers after these disintegrate over winter.
As for the original post, I'll try to find the link, but on either eBay or Amazon I saw a spool of rubber for Bosch frame type wipers a few months ago.

Re: Windshield wiper rubber
It took a few tries before I found the correct rubber for the Passat's Bosch Icons. The original wiper rubber has a notch on one end to lock into the metal frame.
