Hi,
I noticed sometimes that when I am driving and press the brake, a few things happen. If I have the radio on, it turns off and then back on when released. If I have one of the reading lights on, it dims. The SRS light flashes sometimes for a split second.
In addition, the following has happened maybe 5 times over the past month. when I go to start the car, the dash lamps illuminate, but nothing turns over or clicks. I wait about 5 seconds, and then it starts up as it should.
Lastly, I just went to turn on the radio today and it is asking for the original 4 digit code.
Something must be interlinked with these systems which is causing these things to happen and any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!!

The electrical portion of the ignition switch comes immediately to mind.

You are getting a break in primary power to things, so the ignition switch and wiring all the way to the battery are suspect

This... Start with the basics of your heavy cabling
and connections from battery, alternator and B+ to
the main fuse box. All of the big primary grounds, as well.
