Good morning,
recently sold my 99 V70 to a friend and while checking on a coolant leak I noticed the silver corrugated hose that goes from what I think is an egr pump or such to the exhaust manifold was broken. My Chilton manual is in storage somewhere so I couldn't look it up and Google didn't point me to the right part. Can you help with name and part number please?
Glenn

I'm guessing this is a non turbo. I have not looked at a 99+ non turbo but on the earlier versions that hose simply feeds warm air to the intake box until the car warms up. It is not mission critical on the earlier cars and I doubt that it is on the ETM cars either unless there has been a problem with the ETM freezing and sticking.
I'm not sure what the official name of it is but I always referred to it as a heat riser pipe. IPD calls it a Pre Heat Hose.

Boom! That's it. Thank you. I'll buy a section or order one.

If this car is in San Diego, I'd just forget about it. The pre-heat hose doesn't need to be replaced.

Or if it has just broken use some duct tape (the foil type) and wrap the break.
