Re: P80 Positive Temp Coefficient Nipple "PTC VALVE" To drill, or not to drill
Im glad to finely know what PTC stands for, though I've forgotten already. Although I once thought it made sense to enlarge the hole, now I don't, though its reason to be is not clear. I do think that a one way valve should be put on the small vac line from the manifold to allow vac only and no turbo pressure into the PTC area.

Literally not a single issue since I followed your suggestion. I am considering upgrade the pcv hose to a copper pipe when I change out the pcv.erikv11 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 16, 2019 9:00 am I first posted these in ZionXIX's thread viewtopic.php?f=1&t=84698. I did this on my non turbo although I used a very tough flexible fuel line. 5/8" I think. My wacky manifold shape requires some flexy bending. I can say that the pcv properly functions. But I still suspect that I have blow-by as my oil smokes every 3000 miles. I just learned to accept that it means that I need to change my oil. I thought cats cleaned themselves? Hence all the hairballs. It’s definitely good to just leave them where they are.

While tallying up the votes to kick out the 960s, I read my user manual on my T5 and it reads
PTC cleaning at 60 k miles, and then every 30 k miles thereafter
