2000 V70T5 Brake assist seal MK1
2000 V70T5 Brake assist seal MK1
Good evening I wonder whether anyone can assist by advising me where I can buy the seal which is behind the brake pedal. I've looked online and there seem to be a few available but not for the MK1 model.
Thank you
Gordon

Post a link to the one for the MK2 so we will know what seal you are referring to.

Re: 2000 V70T5 Brake assist seal MK1
The only option I'm coming up with for the MK1 is replace the booster.
Are you 100% sure it is just the seal around the rod and not a ruptured diagram?

Re: 2000 V70T5 Brake assist seal MK1
Thanks Rick - I'll investigate further. It's our daughters partners car and I'll look. He's told me his model is a crossover. It has the more streamlined front. The strange thing on that link is that on P23 it looks like it will be OK but when you complete the details at the top it isn't . It's a bit puzzling as to why they wouldn't have used compatible parts from their parts bin rather than coming up with a change. I don't get these issues on my Citroen 2CV!

Re: 2000 V70T5 Brake assist seal MK1
They built both P80 platform V70s and P2 platform V70s in 2000. They did the same in 2007 when they went from the P2 platform to the P3 platform. Probably got a lot of databases confused.
VIDA decodes that VIN number to the P80 group. You should be looking for one for the P80 variant. It is looking like replacing that seal on a P80 is not a option. The replacement seals are for the booster used on the P2.
