nothing could cause that, there is lots of slack and that looks pulled apart. if the head were ungrounded maby it would effect your sensors or injectors, though I dont see how with all the head bolts and exhaust it could be ungrounded. but hook that back up and see what happens. just vice gip it back together.

it a hard enough job. better get the tool. I haven't done it. rope or air in the cylinder.

I purchased this tool for the job, it's a Schley Products Number 91400A. (I'm a tool loon, if I need it once I buy it), you can most likely rent one. Made the job much easier.

A few people have posted DIY valve stem seals on this forum, but I think everyone used the Schley tool or something like it. I'd hit up the search function.

fop has a cheesy one uses the spark plug as the fulcrum anchor which raises the question how you put air or rope in the cylinders?
