98 XC: unable to find downstream o2 sensor fs online
I'm doing as one the members on here suggested. I'm buying fuel injectors and O2 sensors to get my car closer to Stage 0. It's a nightmare trying to find a budget downstream O2 sensor for sale. I found an upstream with an EXCELLENT warranty. But the downstream no bueno, senor! So I need someone help me find a ds O2 sensor. I want to know if up and down are both same length. A pair on Amazon was suspicious, so I messaged the seller. They said the cables were SAME length. THEN they decided to hike the price on the said product from $33 to $50. What a joke and a jerk.

You want Bosch parts on all. Deviate from Bosch and you may not get the performance back. Read everything, there are guys out there that will try to trick you into thinking you are getting genuine Bosch. When what they have is cheap aftermarket injectors.
Up stream O2 sensor.
Volvo part number 1271998.
Down stream O2 Sensor. Look at the last six digits of you VIN number.
Chassis -342000 Volvo part number 9202720. Bosch part number 9202720.
Chassis 342001- Volvo part number 9202721. Bosch part number 9202721.
Fuel injectors
Volvo part number 9454556 (Orange) or 9454557 (White).
Get the Bosch part number off the old injectors then use it to search for Remanufactured, Flow matched Bosch injectors.
Keep in mind the injectors where also use in Ford, Chevy, Jeep and others. Sometimes the prices are lower when they are marketed as for Ford, Chevy .... ect. They are the same injectors. I paid $75 for a set of six that was marketed for a Ford Mustang.

A very cost effective way to get fresh injectors is grab a set from the junkyard and send them off for cleaning, rebuild and flow testing. Usually $15 per injector - oops, $20 per now e.g. https://www.cruzinperformance.com/.
A 98 V70XC is an LPT engine and has red injectors, not white or orange those are from HPT engines. Heck I can send you set of reds for $10 plus shipping, I'm not going to use them for anything.
I completely agree with Rick, O2 sensors must be Bosch, and not the universal Bosch. And watch out for counterfeits - there is no budget solution for O2 sensors. Here are the actual Bosch part numbers:
Front (upstream) Bosch part number 15097
Rear (downstream) to chassis -342000, longer cable, Bosch part number 15062
Rear (downstream) after 342000, shorter cable, Bosch part number 15063

I think OXS are one of the most counterfeited auto products out there. Huge range of prices. EJunk is a sure way to waste money chasing a code on a bad part.

As you can see in my sig, I have a junk XC along with my running XC. The owner of the junk XC had put higher pressure 36psi injectors in place of the factory...I want to say 32 or 34 psi injectors. Question: are your $10 injectors cleaned and ready to be installed? If you put the injectors in a compact package, I think shipping is no more than $5. Give me until after Thursday and I'll get back to you on them.erikv11 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 29, 2020 12:03 am A very cost effective way to get fresh injectors is grab a set from the junkyard and send them off for cleaning, rebuild and flow testing. I had my eye on a set of yellow 36lb injectors. Will those not work? Although I'm not really interested in those because of the offer for the $10 set.RickHaleParker wrote: ↑Sun Mar 29, 2020 1:50 am Red Genuine OEM Bosch 30 lb Fuel Injectors for 1998 Volvo 2.4L I5 [5 PACK] Remanufactured, flow match +/-2% US $78.16 Fast and free shipping. $78.16/5 = $15.63 per injector.

The injectors I offered are not cleaned or tested. I pulled from a running parts car (97 GLT) before I sent it to the junkyard. I meant to offer them as a cheap set that you could send out to get cleaned/tested/rebuilt.CIK7 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 29, 2020 7:36 amAs you can see in my sig, I have a junk XC along with my running XC. If the company from Rick's eBay link is reputable, that looks like a good deal too.

Don't change injector size unless you change or re-program the ECU to match the new injectors. Otherwise the fuel:air ratio will not be right, engine will run rich or lean.CIK7 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 29, 2020 7:55 amI had my eye on a set of yellow 36lb injectors. Will those not work?
