Hi guys, I pulled some fuel injectors out of an 850 yrs. ago at the JY. Mine are in need of a cleaning.if I clean the ones out of the junk yard will I have a tuning problem or should I practice the cleaning on the JY ones and then do the ones that are in my car. I'm a little confused about the fuelinjector tuning and all that,.any helptips will be GREATLY Appreciated. Thanks

Help keep MVS on the web -> click sponsors' links here on MVS when you buy from them.
Also -> Amazon link. Click that when you go to buy something on Amazon and MVS gets a kickback.

If they have the same Bosch numbers on it and have the same color...it's a direct swap.
But....if they were unprotected all those years....they will need cleaning before install.

Thanks they are a different color and a bit smaller thought I'd practice cleaning them. Do you think those small self cleaning kits for 14$ is worth it. I tried making my own but the darn thing kept coming off on the tire cap I was using. Oh well... TY

In that case....i wouldn't install them.
You will need injectors with same Bosch numbers and color.
They may have higher or lower flow rate...different resistance....and engine would not run properly.

So yeah, if a 14 dollar kit allows you to practice before you tackle your primary set, spend and tear 'em down and build 'em up a couple times, then do it for real on the set that came in your car. Or have them commercially serviced. Depending on where you are in CA may be easy and cheap(ish)
Current Volvos:
1998 V70 T5, 112k sat 5 years, still in mechanical coma (finally at the top of the pile )
2004 XC90 T6 AWD: 186k, 60 on transaxle ( traded in )
1998 POS70 N/A: DD/training aid, 236k but really about 240k, I think...ABS module( passed on to son who sold it)
