XC90 Noise with slow turn

Our 2005 XC90 is making a random honking type sound when turning at slow speeds (like into a parking space). It does not happen all the time and sounds like a goose honking. The noise never seems to occur for the service techs so they say they can't help. Any idea what could be causing the noise?
