DIY 2005 XC90 INNER Door Handle Fix (Can't open from inside)

O.P. here,

Ten (10) years later, the RF plastic piece broke.
Recall that this DIY is for the cable that comes off the base.
When the plastic piece (where the cable is attached to) breaks, you either need new part ($180 at dealer) or
used part from ebay for $45-$50 (but that can break any time).

PNs:
- R side (both Front and Rear are the same part): 30761318.
- L side (both Front and Rear are the same part): 30761317.

I decided to rebuild using a metal plate using internet photo to cut a notch for the cable...Good as new.
I used electrical copper wire to hold it in place as shown...

NOTE:

- The BLACK spring should be below the repair metal plate. If you look at the photo above, I missed that little detail.
- So I had to redo it (took a few minutes) to bring the BLACK spring to the position below the metal plate...
- I took a random photo from the internet to show the proper position of the BLACK spring...
