Hi all, my first post.
Bought a cheap 06 t5
No compression in cylinder #1
Watched a couple of dummies on YouTube
then pulled the motor with subframe in about 4 hrs.
Did you know? 🤔

Re: 06 T5 engine removal
Very impressed with how well these cars are engineered...almost a pleasure to work on
A couple of things l learned was how to take out the computers and the fuel line, which need special tools.
The Computer trick was to just take out the whole box.
Then it gives you access to the pink tabs that you slide towards the front of the car.
I used a long thin flat head.
For the fuel line at the back of the motor
I cut a hose clamp and wrapped it around the fuel line Then pushed it into the connector.

Re: 06 T5 engine removal
Nice work. Every car company has their system and some find that an obstacle. I enjoy seeing the engineering and differences also.
