steering wheel cruise control + performance chips

Post by nick mcd »

Another question, is it possible to just change the steering wheel from a plain wheel to the one with the controls on and the radio/cd works from it and the cruise control. Not sure if it has all the connections and hardware ready to plug in.

Also I have seen a lot of performance chips on Ebay offering 20bhp / % increase ( dependant on model) for as little as

The steering wheel controls work with the steering wheel module. If you replace both of them I'm not even sure if you could get them to work. The steering module is part of the digital network.

Don't waste your time or money with the "chips" on eBay, it is nothing more than a resistor you would install in line with the air temp. sensor.
It's a scam.

Why didn't I think of that before?

By the way, I'm selling some land in Yellowstone park.

no clue about the steering wheel. but i got the IPD chip (damn expensive) but way worth it; car really makes me 'happy'. 268->302HP and a wicked boost in torque 280->340ft-lb's increase. once i get my Ferrita exhaust insystem(IPD/TWE phone support said they dropped the sport exhaust systems due to low demand) i'll dyno the whole she-bang. With IPD get a great kick for a luxury car.

there are some other chips out there, but i went with known good upgrade. no regrets!
