Replacing the alternator
I was just quoted $760 to replace the alternator in my 2001 volvo s80 T6. Due to this outrageous price I am going to attempt to replace it myself. Does anyone have any advice or problems that may come up when I take on this task. Are there any special tools that I will have to buy that will not make it worth my while? The shop wanted $460 for the alternator alone any advice where I can pick one up cheap? Thanks in advance for any help.

Help keep MVS on the web -> click sponsors' links here on MVS when you buy from them.
Also -> Amazon link. Click that when you go to buy something on Amazon and MVS gets a cut!
