Hi everyone. I'm new here and have some newbie questions. I am seriously considering the S80 as my new family car. I love the idea of the T6 RWD with the 2.9TT. I am getting more and more concerned with it as I have read numerous posts about expensive problems with the car. From everyones experience, are these mostly isolated problems that the owners speak up about while the owners of trouble free cars say nothing?
Some pointers would be great because I want an S80 twin turbo so bad it hurts!!
Want to buy an S80 but the reliability scares me.!!!HELP!!!

All the S80's sold here in the states are FWD. I saw an article on a Swedish racing team website a while back though where they built up an S80 engine; was making nearly 1000 hp at the crank. They converted it also to RWD.
You should be fine so long as you aim for an '02 or newer model. The '99 to '01 models are far from rock solid reliable, but they're no British car either.

My 2000 T6 is in with tranny solenoid problems. Looks to be close to $1000 so far and it's still not fixed...
