1st Volvo, 2000 S80 T6 112K Miles a steal? Topic is solved

I am glad to be joining the forum, as a nervous new owner of a 2k S80 t6. it has 112 k miles and doesn't run, just turns over. I have lots of checks to make as soon as it's off of the rollback. Previous owner said it was awesome for the two weeks he owned it, then one morning, it didnt start, just cranked and cranked. Sounds like it's intact under the hood, and it's a tinker car for me. It's been well taken care of appearence wise and I'm excited to work on it. It wont see a dealer unless its software and I cant do it on my own. I will give the details as I progress through the checklist of the items that everyone is mentioning. I an not a mechanic, but i know alot about cars and electrical is my favorite money maker when it comes to automobiles. I hope that my contributions to this forum will help others save $$$. I love to rebuild anything. If it worked once, it will work again......

"a Steal?" How much did you pay for it? Wouldn't it be funny if the non-starting was just because it was out of fuel? Wouldn't be the first time that ever happened.

Read out the stored error codes, so that we could help you in some usual faults with this car.

i paid $1600. LMAO it was out of fuel. it had a fuse in the ECU bank that was broken on one leg. pried the leg out, replaced it and it started. bad part is after about a minute, it started smoking then it got worse. i am working on it to get identified, but too many variables so far. I am still optimistic so far, but if you read my other thread, you will see what i have done and found so far.
