Slow Acceleration 2004 S80 2.9

I have a 2004 Volvo S80 2.9 (no turbo). Excellent condition with about 138K miles on it now. I have owned it about 4 years and assumed that because of its age and non turbo it takes a minute or two to get up to speed when getting on the highway. Usually not a problem but depending on traffic I can count on someone being on my rear end before it gets up to speed (60-70 mph).

Since I am automotive ignorant figured I would run it by this group and see if it is the nature of my engine or if maybe some maintenance can be done to improve the performance.
