2000 S80 ABS Module remanufacturers

Post by Cyberwilbur »

I would like to send my ABS Module to a remanufacturer to be tested and repaired/upgraded (if required). From my research on the web, I have found a list of many remanufacturers that provide this service. Below are three that appear to be established, however, their pricing differs among them. Does anyone have any experience working with any of them? Does the more expensive company necessarily offer a better service/product? Any constructive information would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

They're all good...
Module Master's is a bit cheaper and seems to be the new guy on the block but comes with great reviews. Victor is the guy who's been in business for years. He fixed my ABS module.
The other guys (BBA) seem to be hit or miss but some guys swear by them.
Hope this helps.

Dear MIJ,

Thanks for the quick reply, BBA is so much less (see below)that I am not sure who to go with! Can you elaborate on your "hit or miss" statement". Any other suggestions? Thanks again.

1. Victor Rocha = $125 + S & H

2. BBA-reman = $69 + S & H

3. Modulemaster = $110 + S & H

They might be fine with ABS modules but I've heard from other posters that a few of their other parts that they remanufacture, they didn't do such a good job. I suppose that like most things, you get what you pay for. I don't know if you knew this but there is an FYI on rebuilding your own ABS module in the repair database. You have to take it apart and do some soldering so if you don't feel comfortable with it, it's best to send it off.

Thanks MIJ!
I want to check the wheel sensors out first before I possibly remove and repair the ABS module.
By the way, can you lead me to the posting that you mentioned about rebuilding my own ABS module in the repair database. This would be very interesting to me as a point of reference.
Take care!

Don't bother, it's never a sensor, it's always the ABS module

I 've sent 2 abs modules to victor rocha and have been totally
pleased with his service. The turn around time was great . I would not hesitate using him for your rebuild.
