I have had a huge problem with my 2000 S80 radiator boiling over. I changed thermostat, checked water pump and realized the cooling fan is not coming on. I've been driving with the heat cranked up and the heater fan on. I replaced the fan twice. The first time, it would not go off. Now the replacement won't come on. I checked the resistance of what I believe is from the temperature sensor going to the fan for I assume is the signal to turn on the fan. The resistance when hot is 167k ohms. Sounds high to me. It has a purple wire.
Is this the cause?
