Hi everyone. A little information please. I am installing new sunroof seals for my 83 244T. My question is do the seals get applied to the sunroof itself or to the sunroof opening on the car? Unfortunately, mine is missing and I cannot tell where they were originally applied. I'm thinking they should be applied to the sunroof opening, but I want to make sure.

I have a Bentley Publishers shop manual for these cars. However, it does not address the sunroof seals, only cable drive and lubrication.
