Steering wheel vibration Topic is solved

I have 1995 Volvo 960 RWD. When traveling at 75-83 mph on a smooth road surface I notice a harmoning vibration on the steering column/wheel. Vibration is most noticed aroung 3100rpm.
Any suggestions as to what's causing it.?? The vehicle has only 108000 miles and is in a very good mechanical and physical shape. The noise has been there ever since I bought the car new.
Replacing tires and other front suspensions parts due to normal wear and tare did not eliminate the vabration.

Any suggestion, anyone?

Have your tires balanced and check alignment. Also check for loose or broken motor mounts.
