Hello all Im having problems with my Volvo v50 1.6D from 2008
Gonna start out saying sorry for the long text just feel like I should mention everything I've tried and so on
Story first + what I've tried codes in the end
I had taken off the front subframe as I was replacing the fuel lines
During this process I decided too remove the steering rack together with the subframe as this seemed easier
I completed the repair no issues and assembled everything then I suddenly got the "Antiskid service required" message
I went too a dealer and they said I had turned the steering wheel 360 degrees while it was off. They told me it might fix it just Turning it back but otherwise i would need a new clock spring. I turned it back didn't work. Ordered a new (used) clock spring and installed it. After installation the message switches between "service required" and "temporarily off" when it says temporarily off I can calibrate it with the whole turn left turn right drive straight. But the message keeps coming back sometimes after 15minutes other times the next day and sometimes it just switches from temporarily off too service required. But it always comes back as soon as I hit gravel road. Does anyone have a clue what's going on?
My obd reader is throwing the 3 codes you can see in the picture. I've also tried calibration via my OBD reader which only fixed it temporarily and came back again as soon as I hit gravel road.
Hoping for some advice as I'm a student and don't have the money for a dealer as they told me new clock spring+ installation would cost $860
I have also tried deleting the codes after installation of the new one but they keep coming back. I was hoping they might just be old codes from the old clock spring but they weren't
I'm wondering if there might be a break in a cable somewhere as the message hasn't gone away completely with the new (used) clockspring assembly. I switched over the PCB board and the rotating bit as a whole piece. Idk if that makes a difference.
The old clockspring also has white grease of some kind on the outside of it. Idk if that is normal or where it came from? Is there grease inside and it's leaked out? Idk
Really hoping someone can give me any clue as too what I need too do since I'm completely lost and have tried everything I can think off.
My latest thought is if it could be an alignment issue that's causing all this? But then I don't get why the message goes away at times and then comes back again
Sorry for the long text just REALLY REALLY desperate as I also have MOT on the 19. September at the latest

I can't really think of anything you haven't done. Only thing I can think of there is a bad connection somewhere or you have not got the steering wheel calibrated correctly so it is on or near a limit. Are you sure it is the electrical system? You are showing an ABS error. If your ABS is not reading the speed signal correctly then it turns off the Anti-skid.
Check your ABS sensors are good and that the reluctor rings on the end of the axles are not corroded, cracked or dirty.
Neil.
