Getting ready to do this on my 2010 XC60 T6, do you have a link to the VIDA instructions? And did you end up getting it installed. If so any tips or any trouble you ran into during installation?

I have a friend who was a Volvo tech for 15 years. He gave me a hand and did most of the work, I did the grunt work mostly, parts identifying and sourcing. Between us using my hoist and garage and his and my tools we got the trans swapped out and back in about 2 days, well actually less. We didn't really need Vida for the job as he has worked on these cars so much it is simple for him. I did look up the torque values we needed.

My friend now works at JLR (Jaguar/Land Rover) so he managed to borrow the crank hold tool. The owner purchased the oil seal tools from Volvo for us to use fitting the trans and angle gear seals. We did this as a while we were in there as well as the rear main seal.

All went well. We did have some issues after the job, but that turned out to be unrelated to our work.

Neil.
