Notice no B pillars, and also notice suicide doors(!). Also interesting is the color. This color was almost universally used for both concept cars and initial model year production cars product photos. I remember red and black used for occasional promotional material when it was launched, but the clear majority was this Saffron, though I don't remember them using the same exact paint for this model or calling it Saffron.
If there ever comes a day when I find that these "DNA" traces of Volvo products uninteresting, I'll let you know. But don't hold your breath.
