2011 XC60 Stuck in Park
I got in my 2011 XC60 automatic last night and I can't move the gear selector out of park. I also get a gear selector service light on the dash. I have the center console off but I can't tell whats wrong. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Look from the passenger's side for a yellow lever. If you find it, push it down. This is the lockout override.
Move the shifter back and forth between L & R. See if the problem goes away.

Re: 2011 XC60 Stuck in Park
Thanks for your advice Rick, I got home today to continue searching for the problem with my gear shift, I was going to over ride the shift so I could pull her closer to the garage but did not have to because she shifted without any problem. I hooked her up to Vida and no faults shown. I sprayed the mechanism down with foaming windshield window cleaner, ate dinner then put her back together again. So far so good and we shall see what happens.
